Proactive Support

Does your Oracle environment provide optimal support for your business? It’s a simple question, but do you know how to find the answer?

Blue Gecko will help you assess your Oracle or LAMP based environments so you will know where you should focus your efforts.

We have vast experience with Oracle Grid Control, We have our own Open Source monitoring solution Monocle,
and have developed tools and procedures to support proactive operating and maintenance services.

We divide the proactive services in 3 categories:

System checks
Blue Gecko connects to your network and checks if your systems are running properly. This task is always performed by consultants with many years of experience in critical environments and with indebt knowledge about your specific environment.
When the consultant is connected he will perform standard operation procedures as part of the arrangement.
The output is a simple, uniform mail with corresponding incident tickets.

Proactive Service Reports
We connect to your environment and identify the changes and adaptations that are necessary for your environment to remain stable,  reliable and to ensure its proper performance.
For this purpose we use Blue Gecko’s internally developed tools that are capable of capturing more than 100 measuring points in a typical system.
Next, our consultants gather the results in a report that provides you with an overview of the condition of the environment and recommendations for future measures.
The report contains a management summary and priority lists of recommended actions in the short and long term, respectively.

Besides securing documentation, the report can also be used as a basis for planning and for knowledge sharing. It provides invaluable insight into your particular environment, enabling you to handle critical situations more quickly and efficiently in the future.

You will typically receive your proactive service report monthly or quarterly, depending on the significance and dynamics of the environment.

Service assessments
Blue Gecko performs different service assessments. They include an assessment of concrete operating situations, procedures, action plans, and areas of responsibility associated with operations, such as:

  • Security Assessment
  • Backup strategy Assessment
  • License compliance Assessment
  • Operation readiness Assessment

The activities mentioned above are critical for the constant availability and proper functioning of your environment.
For this reason, they should be implemented system-wide – and by competent and experienced consultants.
