Blue Gecko A/S (formerly known as DBA Solutions A/S) was founded in March of 2003 with 3 basic ideas:
- For many organizations 24/7 DBA availability is needed, but the cost of establishing a full Oracle DBA team available 24/7 can not be justified by the business.
- Proactive services combined with best practices, controlled environments and expert experience will write our success story.
- Service structure, Integrated tools and Skills are the key to satisfied customers.
Organizations who had made investments in Oracle, Oracle E-Business Suite or LAMP environments benefited the forth coming years from our expertise running mission critical environments, our ITIL and GxP practices and our 24/7 staff monitoring & supporting their databases and database infrastructures.
We was soon recognized at the partner that not only delivered WHAT it takes, but WHEN is was needed – 24 hours a day.
As our customer base grew, we found customer loyalty to be fantastic; we provide a wider range of expertise, experience, and availability of quality systems and consultants resources within compliance, training and management. Even organizations with full-time staff saw the value; on-site staff could focus on organization-specific work, and DBA Solution managed technology-specific work like proactive services, performance tuning, backups, training and even for some customers became of part of strategic planning.
An ever growing demand for Global services and tight service level agreements(SLA) around the clock, Global consolidation projects and license reviews across borders pushed the long lasting partnership with US based Blue Gecko to evolves and strategies for merging the two companies are signed by investments made by both parties.
As privately held companies, we both have grown profitably every year since inception and combined we now have customers on three continents, and manage more than 500 databases with our talented, dedicated 24/7 staff.
DBA Slotions A/S changes its name to Blue Gecko A/S and this very website is launched to emphasize the fact that we are now a global competence center and tell our customers about the new and strengthened services.

Blue Gecko is focused exclusively on support for databases including Oracle, Oracle Applications, MySQL and SQL Server.
We have expertise in and provide support for a wide range of infrastructure surrounding those technologies including various flavors of Linux and UNIX, application servers, web servers, and various network and storage devices. Our customers range from smaller national customers with minimum support contracts, to large, publicly traded enterprises who needs 24/7 monitoring and well defined SLAs for their critical, revenue-generating infrastructure.
